CD reciver for 2001 silverado

im looking to put a nice reciever in my 2001 silverado, i think i want to spend around 200 or so. ive got almost no idea what to get, ive got cadence door speakers and a cadence 10 powered by a cadence amp, if that even matters. any suggestions would be very helpful.

It depends on what features you're looking for. MP3 and WMA support, multiple preouts, high preout voltage, sub control, EQ, and x-over are a few that come to mind. In my opinion, you won't find anything that nice for $200. I'd say spend about $100-$150 more and get a Premier DEH-860MP. You can find them on ebay NIB for about $300 plus S & H, and it has so many features. Anything less in the Premier line will have a preout voltage of 2v(other than the DEH-8MP), which isn't worth buying, in my opinion. The 860MP has a preout voltage of 6.5v, which will send a nice, strong signal to your amp . I'm very picky about my head units though, which you may not be. The only brands I'll touch are Premier and Alpine. To each his own though...
