03-04 steering wheel Question

Ok I have search and can not find an answer ... Also I am not sure if this is the place to Pst this Question .... but here we go

 

I want to put an 03/04 Steering wheel .with the Audio controls in my 00 GMC truck ..... first has anyone hear of this being done? Can it Be done? where can I get the info to do this ?

Certainly won't be plug 'n play. The button controls won't work.

so then there is no way to make it work ?

I've also read that the 03 up has a different diameter hub and won't fit the earlier models. Don't know firsthand though!
