Jet power modules?

Hey yall! Well iv decided to go with a custom tune from PCMForless! But not sure what tune to get? But anyways, my buddy steve wants to know if buying a Jet power module gives any kind of performance improvements?(He says he doesn't have the money to get a custom tune). He has a 04 Chevy reg. step side 4.8.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey, Mike, I'll start by saying it's been a pretty good while since I've seen/read anything about the JET modules so keep that in mind.

 

What I remember is that the JET module installs between the factory PCM and the wiring harness and essentially 'learns' from monitoring the data-stream to and from the PCM. Then, it begins to make modifications to the way your engine performs by overriding the factory data. For the cost, it seemed to be a decent performer, but it makes all the decisions...unlike a Hypertech or SuperChips unit.

 

What I don't know is whether it can recognize and accomodate mods that occur after the JET module is installed.

brian at pcmforless will and can adjust more than any jet chip or handheld ever thought of.

there is nelson also. i have had his tunes for a couple a years now and will not go to anyone else.
