kjjz28 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I'm considering purchasing an '01 K2500 ext cab with a Duramax engine and it has a little over 100k miles. I've never owned a diesel before but am curious what type of maintenance and/or problems I could anticipate soon (other than high diesel prices at the pump!). Thanks!
Truckman031 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 The Duramax should last a long time. The injectors seem to cause the most problems. However, GM offers a 200,000 mile warrenty on them. If the truck is a good price, buy it.
496 CUBIC INCHES Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I agree,a D-max with 100K is just getting broken in. With decent maintanance it should run 300K pretty easily.
