question is can u do any towing with the westers 93 hot tune, thanks matt

Not a problem towing just remember to run 93 octane in a good grade of fuel. The reason I went with the 91 instead of the 93 was that when I tow I couldn't always find the 93,but could find the 91 instead. I tried towing with a lesser octane and it towed ok but pinged lightly on hills and seemed to have less power.

because his tunes are bad ass. i have had lyndon's tunes. i ended up going to allen due to being unhappy with lyndon's tunes. i gained 4 tenths from a nelson tune.

I think it was the best investment so far. It took a while for the pcm to (learn)my driving habits and the truck, but when it did I was impressed with the difference. I told lyndon that I will tow some and was told that would'nt be a problem, and so far it hasn't. I also have a magnaflow exhaust and k&n drop in and it all works together well.

I'm leaning towards Nelson's as well.

for what reasons exactly? just curious.

I'm leaning towards it from what I've read on numerous boards. Seems that the general opinion of Nelsons is that he may cost more, but the tunes are much better. Supposedly Westers does not tune to the full capability of the truck, and does not remove enough of the Torque Management.

I don't have an opinion for either since I don't have either one. I am however leaning towards Nelson's to get more of that stupid TM taken off and a more aggressive tune. I feel that the power is there, and we should be able to use it any time we want, but use it smartly.

Most people seem to get this stuff removed and then beat the hell out of their trucks, and then complain about poor GM quality. :( WTF It wasnt meant to be beat to death. lol If you drive it normal, and use the power when you need it--passing, getting "up to speed" it should be fine.

One thing to keep in mind--You cant take 100% of the TM off the transmission on the 4l60E without servo's and a shift kit. I'm not too sure about this in the HD truck transmissions.
