go to GM's website, tothe contact section, for chevy vehicles. I got a response from my message from the address [email protected]

e-mail them and tell them you want to see the Colorado SS - LS2 built!!!!

This vehicle who do a lot for Chvey's image, and the SS name, which has been degreaded recently. On paper, it looks like the C-SS would be able to defeat the Ram SRT-10, as it has a better power to weight, and appears to have better aerodynamics, so it could be the fastest production truck if made also!!!

My hope/wish is a 33K price tag. add that in there too, you want to see it prced around 33K, or UNDER 35K. Why? because Chevy is listening to the public on this vehicle!!!! we can get it built with demand! we may even be able to price it!!!!

please e-mail GM about this

I promised I would pre-order one if they will build it.

get crackin people! Do it for GM!!! Do it for the the SS name!!! Do it for Chevy Trucks!!!! Do it for ME!!!

It's a SEMA concept, with the 400HP LS2. you can see more of it on GMInsideNews.com

Following the time-honored muscle car formula, the Chevrolet speed mavens somehow shoe-horned a 6.0L LS2 V-8 into the tight Colorado engine bay. This compact, extended cab pickup boasts the full 400-horsepower LS2 shared with the Corvette and SSR, backed by a heavy-duty 4L70-E four-speed automatic transmission with a floor shifter. This formidable power is routed to a 9.5-inch rear axle with a locking differential for added traction and a short 3.73:1 rear axle ratio for rapid acceleration. The front disc brakes measuring over 12 inches that are sourced from the full-size Chevrolet Silverado; rear disc brakes from the Chevrolet TrailBlazer. Clearly the exterior has been thoroughly transformed with a complete body kit, fascias, grille, and tonneau cover for an extreme makeover. Slammed to the ground, the Colorado wears 20-inch Silverado SS rims.

Unfortunately the concept featured an automatic tranny in the truck. I wouldn't want one unless they offered a 6spd as an option.

Besides that the truck kicks a$$

I bet it wouldn't be terribly hard to get the Tremec 6 speed from the Vette in there. it's a truck, so you'd have plenty of room!. you'd probably have to have a drive shaft fabricated, and the shifter also, and then custom tranny mounts.

it'll smoke a Lightning with the Auto in stock form, so I could live with a slush-box

aslo, I believe it's keyt to tell GM you want to see a 33K-35K-ish price. if not, we could very well see Silverado SS all over again, as your paying more than you should, and it's be more of an icon that a actual statement. and you KNOW that they'd could make a profit on it with that price. they already have ALL the tooling, all the parts already mde, it's just a matter of ptuuing it together. I guess I'm saying I don't want to "see another "suit""

Sure the S-SS is cool, but I think everyone can agree its overpriced.

It will never happen. The only V8 that might and I stress might make it into the Colorado is the 4.8L, why?

First, GM will not produce a light duty truck that has more HP than their Silverado SS.

Second, the 400hp LS2 engine will most likely be classfied by the insurance companys as a exotic, which means substanially higher preminums. Rumor has it, this is what is happening to the '05 GTO's with the LS2.

Last, cost. Plain and simple. Anybody that owns a Colorado especially the Z71 package has experienced the cost cutting BS that the bean counters have inflicted on this truck platform. At least their has been some official word that they recognize the power for this platform is no longer appealing.

'07 would be the earliest we will see anything different.

Keep the appearance package, brakes, and everything but the LS2- instead put a 305hp 5.3L in it, all while keeping the price reasonable (~$30k), and I'd be ready to jump on it.

BTW, the LS2 should go into the Silverado SS (in the true 400/400 form, not some detuned setup, like the 6L that is already there).

I've always thought GM has brought out some of the most kick ass concepts anyone could think of, but never really delivering anything close. The Silverado SS is a perfect example.

I have to agree with you there. GM does show off some awesome concepts, but it does seem that the never retain much of the concepts for the production versions. I like the idea of the SS vehicles and I think they would be good sellers for GM , if they would actually build them more closely releated to the concepts. SS = Super Sport not Sorta Slow!!! :banghead:

I sure WOULDN'T

regency conversions has a place here in OK, and a nearby dealer sells their stuff with their reg GMC inventory. there latest offering are Sierra's, RC SWB, or EX SWB, victory red with flat black stripes(or reg GM black with victory red stripes) 19 or 20" wheels(which are NICE, not bling at all), and billet grilles, super Dark tint. I think spray on liner?

EDIT*** just founf this: http://www.getauto.com/autolinks_cardetail...TEC14V24Z336811

so yeah that's a rip off too

these are NICE trucks, not at all like the woodden interior, 80's color paint job trucks they use to make. they look like what a "SS" sierra probably would. I think they are in the mid twenty, and I'm fighting of the urge to buy one, everytime I drive by, they are VERY nice. the only thing keeping me is the fact that I think it would be better to wait until 07 foe the next Full-size's, ad I want a house. One strong arguement and I'd be down there next month picking one up with the 305 Horse 5.3.
