instrument cluster

Does anyone know if an 03-05 instrument cluster will work in an 02 silverado? I like the H2 gauges...but I haven't seen anyone put em in an 02. Thanks...

Nope, they won't.

Completely different systems.

Of course, I may be making that up.

Electrical architecture of the vehicle was changed for 03+ production. Seriously doubt that would work - first step would be to verify the pinout of the connectors on an 03 and 02 vehicle and ensure they're the same, i.e. you're not putting a +12V line into a GND terminal.

You are completly correct, the wiring is different and to top that off 03 and up are on some funky voltage that is totaly different.

But hey if you have enough money you could rip out the entire electrical system out of a 2003 and replace your 2002 system.

but hey thats alot of f**king money for a cluster. Just buy an aftermarket one and be done with it. Then repalce your needles with red and go. Alot cheaper than the thing above.
