Fuel Filter Question?

I have an 04 2500HD 4X4 CCSB and was wondering where the fuel filter for this thing is. If anybody's got any knowledge bout this please let me know. Thanks in advance mike

It's on the inboard side of the drivers side frame rail under the cab.

Thanks man im gonna go look and see if I can see it. But I appreciate the help oh do you know how to replace it.

Yeah guys i looked everywhere for that thing and could not find it. Any body else got any suggestions.

Yep,Get this....It dosen't have an external one anymore

Its in the tank now like alot of the Dodges have.

I'm not crazy about that,I used to change the fuel filter on my other trucks about every 20,000 miles but not anymore! I just wonder what GM's excuse and reason is for doing that.

04 filter is in the tank. It is not a serviceable item anymore. The 04 doesn't constantly recirculate the fuel as in previous years so I guess GM figured there wasn't as much load on the filter.
