i have a 1997 s10 that came with a vortec v6. now it has a 1996 vortec v8. i got the v6 ecu flashed to a v8 model and wiried it up to a 97 v8 model using all gm service manuals. the truck starts and runs but i am having a fuel problem. i have replaced the injectoers,fuel pump,and filter but i am having raw fuel coming out the exhaust system and i am not sure where to go from here?

What are you getting for trouble codes?

 

What v-8 do you have and what is the vin munber that was flashed into the computer?

i was getting 2 codes 1) p1345 but i got that one fixed out of timing 1 tooth off. 2)p1441evap can still can't get that one fixed. i am using a 96 vortec 350 v8and the vin i am using is 2GCEC19R3V1267861. it is from a 97 1500 2wd with a 4l60e trans

If you are having raw fuel comming out then there has to be a code related to it getting thrown.

 

Did you bypass anything as far as sensors or anything?

 

Are the vin and the motor from the same truck?

 

what model s-10 do you have and what engine did it have?

 

Also, is the engine stock? Stock cam, heads, crank, compression, etc?
