Power door locks

[2000 GMC]

Well this morning it was was cold here in the Spings, mirror temp read 8 degrees. I tried unlocking my drivers side door but lock was frozen. Luckly the drivers side door was good to go. After getting in, I tried unlocking the door using the switch, again passenger door worked but drivers side didn't. I unlocked it manually and after the interior warmed up I tried the locks again with no luck.

How hard is it to fix the power door locks? Buddy said on a car he used to own a plastic retainer broke on his that kept his from working. Said the hardest part was removing the door panel. Is it really that easy?

How do you know they are broken? Could just have some condensation that froze. Try using a hair dryer on them then spray some wd 40 or silicone inside the door.
