i have a noise comming from under my truck like something ratteling and im pretty sure its my catalatic convertor, has any one had this problem befor? How much am i looking to pay for the part?

It could be the heat shield coming loose on the cat or Muff, check these before you replace.

I read a service notice in Motor magazine that talks about the outer shell of the muffler having a cracking noise due to moisture between it and the inner shell. As the muffler heats the moisture turns to steam and causes the crack or pop. The article stated there was not fix other than a new muffler which would not guarentee a return of the noise. This article adressed a cracking or popping noise. If that isn't what you're hearing then look elsewhere
