99 Sonoma Lighting Issues...

I've been having problems with my interior lighting and radio in my 99 Sonoma. My interior lights stay on constantly and you can only shut them off with the dome override switch. My stereo used to stay on when I shut my truck off and it has quit doing that as well. I have checked my door pin switches and they are working perfectly fine. I'm thinking my problem lies within my body control module, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows of a possible solution to this problem let me know...

It's possible it's the BCM, but unlikely. Have had zero problems with BCMs on those trucks.

The radio is shutting off right away because RAP is not enabled due to the fact the BCM thinks a door is open. How did you check the door jamb switches exactly? Also, I'm not positive on the Sonoma, but besides the jamb switch, they often have a door handle switch. That is, if you lift the outside door handle without opening the door, the interior lights would come on. These may only exist in the utility. I'd have to look at a schematic to be sure.

Besides a switch problem, it could also be a wiring problem. One of the door inputs to the BCM could be grounded and that would be the same as a door being open.

Those switches exist in my S-10. If my door is locked and I got to open it from inside after shutting the truck off, my radio goes off. Also, if I try to open the door from the outside after before unlocking it, the lights come on.
