Wiper Insert Refills

My factory rubber wiper blades finaly starting tearing so I went to Wal-Mart and bought some triple-edge wiper blade insert refills to replace the factory ones.

But these new ones seem to miss a spot on the windshield and it's driving me crazy.

Is there a way to correct this or should I have just bough the original replacements parts from GM?

I told myself that when I bought another new truck that I would not buy anything other than GM replacements parts from the dealer cuz I've learned in the past that you get what you pay for but I figured wiper blades are wiper blades, how could you go wrong?

Welcome to the GM crappy wiper setup. You must have got lucky with the OEM wiper blades. I have owned three NBS trucks and they all miss a small circle right in front of my face. They came like that from the factory. If you watch the wipers you can see the design flaw. The large blades try to cover to much area and it results in bad performance. There is too much surface area on the blades and not enough down force from the wiper arm itself. So, in rain it does not have the squigy affect and in snow they do not cut good enough. I change my blades from summer to winter blades every year and it seems to help a little. Every buddy of mine that owns a NBS complains about poor wiper performance also. It's like driving blind when it storms.
