Sports-related ethical question

I'm sure that this has been debated before, but I'm still not clear on what the right thing to do is.

I have a few football cards with players like Reggie White (Eagles/Packers), Derrick Thomas (Chiefs), and Jerome Brown (Eagles), all of whom have since passed on. Howw do I deal with these incidents concerning my trading cards? Do I sell them for a hopeful, yet gruesome profit, or do I keep them as small tokens of rememberence for the deceased?

I don't want to be a heartless bastard for selling them, but I'm guessing that they have increased in value some, and a little extra $$$ in the wallet never hurts.

What do you guys and gals think I should do? :seeya:

I'd probably keep them if I were a collector. You never know if the value may go up even more. I'm kind of the nostalic kind too, so I'd be likely to hang on to them to remember the guys.

If I was a collector I would keep them....if I have them just laying around I would sell them. I guess they way I look at it, it's a business transaction. If you don't want them, and someone else does. Supply and demand. Besides if you don't want them, it would be stupid to not get the best possible price for them.

BTW....I have a cold....black.....cobwebbed filled heart.

Ask youself this question. If you had a barry bonds card would it be any different than selling it before his value goes down, once he gets busted to juicing???

I don;'t really collect anymore, stopped around the age of 14.....I'm keeping all that I have though, every card, cause in abother 30 years.......I'll be sitting on some cash

my brother has around 30,000 various cards from the 80's.......if he waits a while....a long while......well, you may have noticed that most cars in great shape from the 50's cost about a buck each no matter the player. add inflation, etc etc, in 35 more years those 30,000 + the more valueable ones cards MAY be worth 50K or more!!!!!
