Anyone having problems with their wipers?

 

Mine have a jerk or hickup right in direct line of site.

But only when it gets very cold. Like 10 degrees or less.

Everytime I take it to the dealer to show them, the weather warms up and they start working again. Dealer says there is nothing wrong with them.

My 2003 Silverado has the same problem, but it has only happened twice(for about 5 minutes each time). I couldn't pinpoint the what was making it accure. But your theory on the cold weather makes sense. I had someone else in the forum tell me to have the wiper motor replaced. That is all the info I have. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

My 04 did the exact same thing but only when the wipers where on the delay mode. they worked fine on the normal and fast setting. they have only done that 2 times and I know for sure that it was very cold the second time.

Well my cold weather theory was shot down yesterday. It was 40 degrees and raining. As BBSilverado suggested, it only happened in the delay setting and lasted for about ten minutes.

Took the truck to a different dealer.

They replaced the circuit board in the wiper motor under warranty.

Seems to be fine now.
