Swapping Gauges

Okay I have an 04 Bravada and it has the DIC on the gauges below the speedo where it tells me "door Ajar etc etc"

Anyways I wanted to swap fro white gauges from a Trailblazer and came across a set but it is not from a model with the DIC. WIll these gauges work in my Bravada?

From my experience on an 02 Envoy, the instrument cluster will work, but you will lose the DIC feature. There is a number of chips on the Instrument cluster that decode all the info and display it. That chip is left off the models without the DIC.

If the white face panel is going to be scrap, you probably could take the panel apart and put just the white face onto your Instrument cluster.

You also should probably see one in action to make sure that is what you want. I looked at one in the process of buying a new Trailblazer. When the sun is over your left shoulder, you can not see the idiot lights on the dash. There is a reason GM stopped making the white faces. Also, the printing was not as "crisp" as the black ones.

If you want to see a good looking set of gauges, take a look at the new Corvette's. Sure wish I could get these on my Trailblazer. They are sooo kewl.
