 I am split between between fabtech & superlift 6 inch suspension lifts for my 2003 gmc z71. what is best the spindel lift or drop down? which one is better on wear and tear of the truck? or do i need to be looking at something else entirely?

I would do a CST lift. You might pay ail bit more $ upfront but you are getting a better lift.

Fabtech allows you to buy pieces individually, not just in a kit.  If you want to mix and match, may be better.

one of the local dealers here installs 4 different including fabtech and superlift. he says that the new skyjacker lift is better than both and no cutting is required. does anybody know anything about the new skyjacker lift.

Skyjacker is the only one that doesn't require cutting...I think. Anyway, I can't comment on that specific kit, but I have had Skyjacker kits before and was very happy with them. Installation instructions are really good and everything you need is in the kit.

Compared to RCD's.  Any info? :(

RCD includes everything in their kit (nuts, bolts, spacers, bushings, etc.)and it is all bolt on as well. The engineering and quality of parts in the RCD kit is quite impressive. I have one in my 02 3/4 ton Sub and everything fit like it was custom made for the truck.IMHO,you should put the RCD kit on your list of lifts to check out. :seeya::(

I went with Fabtech. It was on sale so I got it really cheap and that was the prefered brand of the shop doing the install

Why would you want to mix match lift kits? I still say CST is a great kit..just my own personal opinion!

If you got custom wound coils (for 2wd apps), you could buy their upper control arms and shocks alone. Or for my application, I bought their spindle lift a couple years ago. The spinlde are used in their ultimate lift, so if I set up to that, I don't have to buy another pair of spindles. I agree about CST though, definately good lifts.
