remote start door lock question

i bought 2 bulldog remote starters for my 2001 chevy silverado hd and for my wifes 2000 new body style tahoe. i installed them both and actully found it was rather easy to do. but since i already had the factory remote lock and unlock i decided not to hook the bull dog starter remote up for the optional locking and unlocking. well my problem is that when i remotely start my truck i can still use the factory remote to unlock my doors. on my wifes tahoe, after i remotely start it, the factory remote wont unlock the doors. any ideas? do the 2000 tahoes have some feature that wont allow the doors to be unlocked with the remote once running?
