Custom Tone setting on factory radio

Recommended Posts

I have an 04 Silverado CC with the stock single cd/XM radio. I have found how to "lock" in the bass, mid range, and treble that I want and I know these are set to the "Custom" equalization. However, everytime I shut the truck off and then turn it back on the radio goes back to one of the other equalizations like "Rock" or something and I have to press through until I get back to the "Custom" equalization. How can I get this truck to stay on the equalization setting I had when I turned it off?

The settings are saved when you save the station on which they were applied. In other words, tune to the station. Set the custom settings you want. Press and hold the numbered button you want tha station assigned to. The station and it's custom equalization settings are saved.

If you're looking to make the custom settings a global setting that affects everything... can't be done that I know of.

Can the audio settings be set differently for the different sources like XM, CD, radio stations and be remembered when you switch back and forth?

On my '05, the settings that you select when the CD is going is the way it stays as far as I've seen. Doesn't matter if I switch to the radio or shut the truck off, it still goes to whatever setting was selected last time I played a CD.
