1500HD Guage Lens

The corner of the plastic lens covering gauges on my 2003 1500hD broke and I need to replace. Chevy dealer wants $40 just for the part and another $100 to install. (Ouch)

 

Can anyone help me with an alternate, less expensive source? And maybe a GM part number?

Are you referring to the plastic lens that covers the entire gage cluster?

 

It would be very easy to replace it yourself. I had mine off when I installed my white face gage overlay. The bezel pops off the dash and the entire cluster is held in with 4 bolts. Take the bolts out and pull the cluster out far enough to unplug the harness.

 

With the cluster in your lap you can easily remove/replace the plastic lens and then reinstall everything.

Yes - that's the piece. I figured it would be easy to replace myself, but I also hate to pay $40 for the plastic lens. Any less expensive online parts places to purchase this piece?
