2000 chevy 2500 4X4

Hey guys,

 

My friend is contemplating getting a 2000 chevy 2500 4x4 (NBS) ext cab, sb. I is a 6.0L V8, auto, but he doesn't know if it has the 4L80-E or 4L60-E. Do you guys know if the 4L60-E was available in 3/4 ton?

If the truck has a 8600GVW then it will have the 4L80E. You can also look at the RPO sticker in the glove box and if you see the code MT1 then you have the 4L80E, the 4L60E code is M30. Also if you see the code C6P then the truck has a 8600GVW and LQ4 is the 6.0L engine.
