lifting question

Anyone know about some sort of speed sensor problems with lifted trucks running larger diameter tires?  I want to do a 3" lift on a 99 2wd ext cab 1500 and someone said I would need to modifiy the sensor for the abs and if I didn't the computer would start sending weird signals causing all sorts of problems. BS or true?

  Welcome to the forum.  If you are lifting like I will, I'd recommend getting a Hypertech HPPIII, it will modify your speedo, tranny, and everything else for whatever diameter tires you plan on running.  There are some other things out there that are a bit cheaper, but this is the way I would go cuz it'll modify the computer to pump out some more HP and Torque.  Plus you can raise the speedo.
