New cluster panel installed

I just got the cluster panel replaced today by the dealer. Went to pickup the truck turned the key over and I was greeted from the “display” with “DRIVER 1”, wow I never had this before, then I scrolled to check the miles and they ware 367 miles less then what I had on the original one then I saw that I have “PERSONAL” and “BUSINESS” trip meters that I never have had before, the hour meter was 1919 hours not my original 302 hours.

My conclusions are:

a) The cluster panel is not new but rebuild one. I do not know what make and model Silverado came from.

b) My programmed miles ware the ones from when I took the truck in the first place for cluster panel problem. So what they did is programmed it in from the place it came and in the mean time I was driving and put additional 367 more miles.

c) They did not even programmed my old hours in but left it the ones from the previous vehicle where the cluster came from.

d) And my now business trip meter does not even work

So what you guys think? Should I return Monday to the dealer and ask them to fix it or just live it the way it is?

By the way can anyone tell me what cluster I have now? Model?

:sigh:

I would insist that things are right. One day when you go to sell the truck, people will think that this truck spent most of it's life idling away with that many hours.

Make them make things right and a dealer should use NEW parts, not used ones!
