automatic headlights

I just completed the resistor install inplace of the photo sensor. I found that the drl's stayed on while the parking lights are on but shuts off when the headlights are turned on. I was going to install a relay to shut the drl's off when the parking lights come on. Does anyone think that this might cause some type of a problem?

BOW............The resistor "fix" will only disable the auto ons.

The DRLs will still work.

You have to pull the DRL bulbs or pull the DRL fuse from the

underhood fuse center.

This was how it worked on my 01..........

I had NO lighting related problems with that fix !

I understand what your saying but,i didn't realize that the drl's stayed on with the parking lights.I still want the drl's,but i want them to shut off when the other lights are turned on. I have a 2001 2500 hd crew cab short bed LT black with charcoal leather interior

YUP.........They will still will work ! I hate the darn things................
