dk1500 Posted November 20, 2001 Posted November 20, 2001 hey guys!!! I need a little help...I have a set of ranchos and they work ok, but what are the best type and model?? I cannot find the best without trying them all... so if anyone knows or has a good idea please let me know!!!
Shaners Posted November 20, 2001 Posted November 20, 2001 Ryan put Bilstien HD shocks on his Z71 and likes them alot. I've tried the Edelbrock shocks in the past and thought they worked well too...
chevy4x4trucks Posted November 20, 2001 Posted November 20, 2001 What type of rancho's do you have??? I bought the RS9000 5 position adjustable shocks and I couldn't be happier w/ them. They work great. Just turn the dial to 5 for towing and off-roading and you have nice stiff suspension. Set it to 1 for everyday driving and you have a smooth ride. I usually run mine around 3 since I usually end up hauling something in the back. But, you can also get the in cab adjuster for it. They're the only shocks I've tried, but I'm very pleased w/ there performance.
Stepside Z Posted November 21, 2001 Author Posted November 21, 2001 I had Bilstein HDs on my 99 Serria and I really liked them. Very Good control. I am planning on putting them on my 01 Silverado.
Stepside Z Posted November 21, 2001 Author Posted November 21, 2001 Ooopps, forgot to add, welcome to the forum.
FunInTheMud Posted November 21, 2001 Posted November 21, 2001 Hey Dean, Well, considering the way you drive, I would go with the heaviest set of shocks available on the market. However, you know I would say to get the Eddlebrock ones. By the way, I think I am going to put another set of driving lights on the truck tommorw, which means it is officially time to replace all fuses with heavy copper wire
dk1500 Posted November 22, 2001 Posted November 22, 2001 hey thanks guys, I'll have to think about it for some time... ???
