Need some measurements

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, got something to ask of ya.  If you get a chance, could you happen to measure the diameter of the tubing on your brushgaurds?  No need to measure them all, just the bars that go out and around the headlights.  And one other thing, how much do you think they weigh?  Just need something for comparision.

Thanks.

um Jon will probably get to it before me.  I am in for the night and it is pouring down rain and is cold.  SOrry truck doesnt fit in the garage.

The tubing i am guessing is 1" to 1.5" (id really say without measuring 1.25") i am assuming you are talking about the largest part and not the small bars which cover the headlights.

I see you are getting the crap we had on Saturday.  Only I bet it is a little bit colder where you are at.  Not going to snow is it?  Don't be in any hurry to get the measurements, I can wait.  And yeah, I am talking about the largest bars, not the little ones the cover the lights.

no snow yet?  I am hoping for some

those bars have to be like 1.25". They arent very heavy either.

Why do you need to know this?  Just curious

Ill check in the morning tomorrow and post

Yep, I was really hoping for some snow this time but I guess its not going to happen.

I've only found a couple of brushguards that I actually like (and this is one of them) so I wanted to compare some sizes of the tubing from the one you guys have, to the one I've been looking at.

And I just found out that their shipping weight is approximately 73lbs, so the guard itself probably weighs about 65 or so.

wow, w/o reading any posts besides the first one I guessed that weight pretty close,  keep in mine, my guard has a few coats of spray on bed liner on it.  But, the shipping weight is going to be within about 5 pounds of the bars weight.  If I remember correctly, it was divided into three boxes.
