Definitely Infinity speakers for your components. JL audio also makes components and I have heard great things about them but you can never go wrong with Infinity. If you plan on hooking up any subs, go with JL. For an amp you can either go with a JL 500/4 or 300/4 or 500/5. With JL amps, the possibilities are endless. If you decise to go with JL or infinty, shop online, way too expensive at the stores!

Orion 7005 amp, Orion P6.2 comps can be had for about $150 online, and they will dish out whatever you throw at them. I've been told that amping the 4"x6"s won't make much of a difference, but I have mine powered by my head unit, and they do just fine. Also, you probably won't notice much of a difference from one 4"x6" to the next, but I've always liked Pioneer. I have some RF 4"x6"s, and they've lasted for years. Orion also makes some 4"x6" speakers, but I have yet to hear them. About JL, their stuff is very nice, but for the money you could do more. I'm not impressed with Infinity speakers. I was going to buy some 6"x9" infinitys for someone last x-mas, and then I heard the Pioneer Premier 6"x9"s sitting right next to them, and they blew the infinitys out of the water, and for the same price at that.

For 6x9's the Pioneers are awesome. For smaller speakers and tweeters though, infinitys rock!

As for subs I also like the JL's, but Fosgates are good too.

An amp, I'm not sure. I would just get one to power a good sub. Use the head unit to power the components.

I had my comps powered by the head unit for awhile until I found another amp. They sounded ok, but just ok. Imo, there's no point in buying comps if you don't ever intend to amp them. Amping them makes all the difference in the world. About the infinitys again, I also installed some 6.5" infinitys in this chick's car, and they just didn't impress me much. They just didn't seem to have a very good midbass. Maybe their comps are different, though.

Just go with a set of good components.. CDT Audio comes to mind and see if you can get a deal on a Directed 1200/5... Infinity Kappa 4x6's are some of the best ive ever heard.. but with my setup i cant even hear them so im taking them out.. If you have a good component set and sufficient power, i wouldnt waste my money on a good 4x6.. just get something decent incase you have passengers..

I've got 6.5 CDT comps up front running of a cadence Z8000 175x2 and kappa 4x6 in the rear doors (462.5 cfp) running off Q3000 100x2 with a basslink I've got a good stereo sound. Like lidnlow said the CDT over power the rear, but it completes the stereo sound.
