2003 2500hd had 2 Flowmasters on it when i got. Like the sound of the mufflers but at like 2300 -2700 rpms the cab noise is unbearable on the hwy. They ran the tailpipes straight out the back. I dont know what series these mufflers are, but is there anyway to quiet them down ?????

You can put a Dynomax bullet somewhere back up the line to serve as a resonator. Just an option. Or you can ditch the Flows altogether.

Magnaflow

Sounds like you have the 40 series. the only way to quiet the truck down is to change the mufflers. I would suggest the 50 series, a little quieter. Also you probably have a 1 to 2, which means you have 1 muffler not two. Most of the time the muffler shops thak the easy way and put on the unit that has 1 input and 2 outputs.

pretty sure 6.0 in the HD have duels going into the mufflers stock then some something wierd with having 2 pipes come out into a Y for a single exhust, but one of them doesn't flow, something to do with with resonatance. (SPELLING?). so it's probably 2 flowmasters.
