factor DVD system of after market

buying a 05 burb. does not have factory installed DVD system so there telling me I can have them install it there. Its not the same factory one. anh advice ? I heard the factory is tied into the radio but after market is not. whats the pros and cons of after market GM or get it done myself ?

If you have the resources (both time and money), you can get a factory DVD system to work on your non-DVD burb, especially if factory integration (e.g., tied into the factory radio and/or factory steering controls) is important to you. If not, you'd definitely be better off getting aftermarket and any necessary adapters to tie it into the factory system as much as possible (it won't be completely tied in like OEM factory but close enough).
