In the near future I am thinking of lifting my truck 3". First truck I'd lift, what kit should I be looking for, and any other surpises?

It depends a lot on the model truck you are lifting. If you are lifting a 88 or later GM P/U with IFS I would not do a 3 inch lift (not sure one exists for those models) without lowering the front frame mounted differentail too. Not a easy task.
