My 04 8.1 had a rattle on startup this morning, hadn't been run fior a week. Identical to the noise I had in my 98 454, which was cured by a reprogramming of the coumputer to change the start up flare. Been to www.#####.com, but no mention of the dreeded piston slap problem with 04's Anybody aware of any TSB's for 04 8.1's?

What kind of rattle and how long does it last and does it go away quickly or slowly when it fades?
