Possible Fender Damage!!

hey yall

i lifted my truck 6 inches and now im having some problems.. i put 35 in tires on it and now whenever i hit a bump my front fender rubs against the tire.. see Pic

 

Is there any way i can fix this without totally cutting out the fender..?

Yes, raise truck more or put on smaller tires. You could try limiting spring compression down travel but then it would ride bad and still likely rub. You simple do not have enough clearance for the rubber you are running, sorry!

Looks like you will have to trim some. Cranking the t-bars may give you a bit more lift and in turn more clearance, but probably won't allow you to clear the tires. I know cutting the front bumper and fender is not what you want to do but it may be a nessacary evil. I had to trim up my 03's valance and again at the back fender even after cranking up my t-bars to 7-8ish inches to clear my 35's.

Yes three choices here maybe, raise truck/body more through a bigger lift, trim some metal or install smaller rubber. There is no easy fix here to keep rubber in current configuration and not have clearance problems.

hmm well thanks everyone..

do you think if i need to trim some of my fineder should i have someone do it or is it just as easy to use a saw tirm it, paint it, then cover it with some fender flares?

I would buy the saw if you do not have one and trim it yourself and then paint and add the right flares and it should look pretty natural (like the tire belong on truck if trimmed and flared right)
