Torsion Bars

I would like to bring front end up about 1/2 in. Is it easier to adjust torsion bars with the front end jacked up ? Maybe you cant even do it without jacking it up but figured I'd ask. Thanks

I've never tried, but I would think it would be easier to do it with the bars "unloaded".  Just put jack stands under there first...  :)

You can adjust the torsion bars without jacking up the wheels, but it is a bit harder to turn.  I would suggest taking out the old jack and taking the load off the bars.  I adjusted mine and turned the drivers side 3 turns and the passenger side 5.5 turns to level out the truck from front to back and side to side.  I had the alignment checked durning my next service visit and it was off a little - but I think it was off from the factory so who knows.  The 285's that I am going to put on in the next couple of months should fit better now.

I adjusted mine without jacking up the front and it wasn't to bad. If you can jack up the front then do so just because it is easier. Don't forget the jack stands.
