Brake Controllers

Recommended Posts

Along the bottom of the dash, to the right of the steering wheel, above the gas pedal.

There is a narrow metal rail along the lip. It perfect for mounting the brake controller to. I used three tie wraps and didn't have to drill. It's been in for 2 years now and holding very good.

i mounted mine on the side of the center console, closer to the seat. this way i don't have to move to manually activate brakes or adjust controller. hand just drops down from wheel and lands on controller.

no pics right now, but it's similar to where kenworth-1 has his cb mic handle, just closer to the seat.

Thanks for the info. :jester:

I all ready have the prodigy controller, I was just curious where everybody else was installing theirs.

Mounted mine to the lower dash portion to the left... I always seem to drive with my right hand so this position make it easy for me to adjust it and manually activate it with my left hand...

pre drilled holes center under steering wheel on lower lip of panel holes line up & everything works great !!!! skey :fume:

YUP. Holes matched mine perfectly, Two bolts and nuts and I was all set. That and I tucked my wires neatly.

I would think this location would be to far away to reach for easy adjustment and to turn them on manually...

It has not posed a problem for me. I set the controller before the trip, maybe adjust for city/highway driving, but I do not need to adjust the gain all that often, it's my choice.
