2003 hummer h2 stereo problems

Can anyone tell me why the stero intermittenly shuts down in the h2 mine is a 2003, it will come back on sometimes the same day somtimes when it feels like it

 

Help, the dealer does not have the answer

Define "shuts down". Does it just have no audio or does the thing go totally dead, i.e. no display or anything? If the former, there's a reprogram for that problem. Otherwise, might just be the radio itself if they haven't already replaced it.
