popping noise

I don't know if this is related to the previous topic below, but when I put my 2004 silverado extended cab 4x4 with 700 miles in reverse I get two pops, which sound like they come from the drive shaft. Besides that everything functions normal, I have noticed the same condition on my friends truck. Is this normal for everyone else?

Is it really a poping noise or more of a tick tick ??

sounds like 2 pebbles hitting the undercarriage, but truck is not moving.

Mine does the same thing, but it will also do it when you hit the gas from a stop. Roll down your windows and see if yours does it too. I have heard that this is something with the drive shaft welds. I am going to take mine in next week to get the dealer to look at it.
