How much heavier is the 8.1L vs the 6.0L?

I just tried searching the net to find the answer to this, and waded through too many RV'ers web sites, I'm grossed out! Had to stop.

 

Do you know they like to call diesels, "Diesel pushers"??

 

Anybody know how much more the 8.1L weighs versus the 6.0L?

"Diesel Pusher" usually refers to motorhomes with rear diesel engines as opposed to front engined motorhomes.

really don't think the 8.1 weighs much more than the 6.0. To be most accurate, you would have to compare the horsepower to weight ratio.

The Ally weighs quite a bit more than the 80E. Dunno how much, but I do know the Ally is a huge tranny.

 

The 8.1l, I'd guess, is probably no more than 50lbs heavier than the 6.0l, although I'd bet is less than that, maybe 25~35lbs ??

8.1's weight in at around 700lbs and the Ally is 300lbs. I have no idea what a weighs 6.0 or a 80e.

im not sure by how much, but i know the 8.1 is way more than 50 lbs heavier than a 6.0. havent you heard the term bigblock. Everything is bigger stronger and heavier
