Vendor problems with 22" rims - what do I do????

I have a problem,

I bought some 22" rims from an e-bay seller a few weeks ago, "RVM Racing Wheels Tires Accessories". Shortly thereafter I received four rims, went to my local Discount Tire store, who does all my balancing, installation etc. to have my new Nitto 420s 285/45-22s mounted. The tech found that two of the rims were not true. I saw myself them wobble an inch sideways when run on the balancer. The rim is wobbling, not only the tire...

RVM did not trust my tire store, but replied this way:

"From: [email protected]

Files: " please send proof they are damaged and we will gladly replace them, but many stores tell customers this because you did not buy the wheels from them"

I have seven unanswered e-mails to RVM, and a few phone calls...

One time they answered. They had no idea about the conversations going on, and claimed ignorance. I also had my tire dealer call directly to RVM, and rudely, they were not helped either. Finally, agreeing with RVM I sent them back and they tested them out, found nothing wrong, and returned them to me, with this explanation:

"We put both wheels on our balance machine, 1 wheel read 1.00 (Front) & .75 (Rear), the other wheel read 1.50 (Front) & .50 (rear) which is more than within acceptable range, the wheels are being sent back to you"

I still cannot use them since they are out-of-round, and cannot be balanced properly. The tire surfaces rocks sideways back and forth an inch, when spun looking from behind, or front. It will shake my denali to pieces.

What do I do? RVM refuses refund since the rims are non returnable after they have been mounted.

I placed an order (paypal) for two new rims to speed up my process, while I was waiting for RVM to test the bad rims. Requesting delivery, RVM refused the order, but refunded me the money, partially less shipping cost, with this reason:

"From: [email protected]

"We didn't, but we did inspect your wheels, and they are in perfect condition both cosmetically and internally"

I am at loss. Except for a negative rating on e-bay, I have no recourse. The rims are not true, the wobble, and are not usable.

The rims were cheap. I only paid some $700 bucks total for four 22" rims. I also spent $177 bucks for a fast delivery to RVM Wheels in NJ from Michigan, to test them after I found them to be bad. Furthermore, RVM charged me another $60 bucks for freight back after test. If I were to send them back for refund, I would spend another 200 bucks...limited interest to do that...

I guess I learned a lesson, not to buy cheap rims...from RVM or whatever they are called.

RVM is also known under the names: Empire, Empire wheels, RVM wheels, RVM Racing Wheels Tires Accessories, and DOHCCivicNA1250.

Advice?

First, go to a different shop and have them check the wheels out to make sure there isn't a problem. Get print outs from both shops on the results. If they still won't work with you, go over their heads. File a complaint with the manufacturer stating that you bought a set of rims from one of their vendors and there are problems with two of them that they won't address.

Also file a complaint with paypal providing the same paperwork that is supplied to you from seperate tire shops.

Ok, final chapter on this story.

I got the original rim back from RVM. The tire dealer was able to balance this one out, and I am very confused. I guess my tire dealer wants to sell rims too... I feel like I owe RVM an apology for second guessing the product quality. Customer service wise, they still leave a ton to wish for.

Now, here's the kicker. After all this trouble I don't like the ride. To bumpy. Anyone with some black 20s on 265s, or 275s wanna trade?
