I have a 2002 gmc ex-cab truck and need new shocks.

which shocks should i use to replace the factory ones.

I would like a good smooth ride that will not cost an arm and a leg.

Thanks

I got the ranchpo RSX and they ride great. I sell these all day long and no complaints ,,,, I took off Explorer Pro-comp 9000 cuz they were beating the snot out of me and my truck

I have an '01 4wd xcab 1500 and just replaced my shocks with NAPA (Monroe) reflexes in the front and sensa tracs in the back. My new shocks made quite a difference, I don't skip across multiple bumps or tracks any more, they soak up all of the small bumps and it got rid of the very annoying slight pull to the right that my truck has had since new.

My only complaint is that I wish they were just a little stiffer.

My father-in-law was able to get me a discount, I paid 123 out the door.

Just wondering why you did not use the same shocks all the front and rear?.............how do you like those sensatracs?

I installed a set of Bilsteins on my Toyota pickup but found the ride a bit harsher. Loved the GMC's smooth ride and was one of the reason's I bought one over a Ford. How much different are the Bilstein's over the factory Z71 shocks?

Thanks,

George

I found the Bilstein's to be a stiffer ride than the stockers. I call it firm. My truck doesn't feel like it's getting knocked to hell when you go over freeway expansion joints, etc. It's definitely a mod I'd do again in a second. Of course I also put the Revo's on at around the same time. So with new shocks and new tires, it was like driving a new rig.
