transmission stumble

Odd things that happens once in a while on my 04 burb 5.3 with 5000 miles.

when I back up then shift to Drive (not always) I get a little stumble (not slip) in tranny. Yes its the tranny. Anyone have this happen. Only when hot it seems.

Mine does that as well. . .I've never thought twice about it-now I'm kinda curious.

Tranny yoke, u-joints... couple things to check...

Becareful....

 

Make sure you come to a complete stop in reverse before dropping into drive as I had a habit of doing that with my 99-Blzr and then dropped the sunshell reaction assy...in my 4L60E tranny....that's a mere $1800 repair....as they have to drop and completely disassemble the tranny.

 

Not sure what tranny is in the burb, but if it's anything like my 04 tahoe which also has a 4L60E I am takin it real easy...
