I have a buddy with one, I'll ask him next time I see him.  If it's anything like the other Vortec engines the mileage will improve for at least the first 10K miles as the engine breaks in.

Does anyone know when the 2500 Suburban will get the Duramax(detuned version) option with the 4L80E tranny?  2002 model year?  If so, then we could see DMAX/Subs on lots by October?
