AC Evaporator

Vehicle in question: 99 tahoe two door, sport version.

Where do I find the evaporator? I took the blower motor off and can't see it from there. Are there any other air conditioning components that I should look at to achieve maximum AC flow? Accumulator?

You should be able to see the evaporator after removing the blower motor. It is to the left and up sitting vertically. I was able to spray it off with a garden hose through the hole. Just make sure the drain tube doesn't get clogged while spraying it down. It made a world of difference for me, vent temps dropped from 50 to 40 and airflow was significantly increased (got rid of the musty smell too)

Clean the condensor (in front of the radiator) from the back side to push all the road junk out.

However, if the A/C is blowing warm then you either have a leak somewhere orthe system is not operating due to a failed component.
