EVO Sensor on a 2003 Z71

I have been having some floating steering since my steering box replacement a few months ago. Everyone I talk to says it could be the EVO. From what I hear it is attached the the white thing where the steering shafts meet under the dash. Well I have the white. thing, but nothing is snapped onto it, no wires no sensor. Did they eliminate that on the 2003's?????? If not someone has some splaining to do at the dealer!

Maybe that is the problem. They forgot to put it on your truck at the factory?
