2500 HD door speakers/ lock chimes

HI all, New to forum

My 03 2500hd 4x4 front driver door speaker is seems to be going on/off,

I have noticed the door lock chime is doing the same thing. Its probably a loose connector, anyone else have same problem or quick fix

If I had to take a guess, I'd tell you to look at the harness where it passes between the door and the door pillar.

Rahtreelimbs had a similar issue and found wires worn through. Maybe yours has just worn through a different set of wires?

Let us know what you find. I'm starting to get concerned about my truck since it's the same year as yours... I think I'll go check mine now, before it becomes an issue.

Thanks for the tip! Ichecked the door harness no obvious frays, but I did notice my large speaker is not working when I isolate it w/the balance controls. I guess the door skin is gonna have to come off to check that next.
