Envoy VS Trailblazer

See the title. What do you think?

I'm SERIOUSLY considering trading the 98 grand am 88k, no payment on one of these. I'm sick of the black paint and its a b*tch to keep up two dark vehicles.

Bottom line it'll be white or a very light metallic. I drove an envoy extended and it handles like crap, pickup was fair but not the best. My wife drove a trailblazer regular and liked it a bit.

Is there a way to get one thats lifed up a bit?

Fill me in.

You could start with a tune, dual exhaust, intake, cam, rockers, and then squeeze a 6.0 under the hood.  Other than that, they are dogs.

Who makes a tune for this? I contacted Jesse and they dont make one for the Envoy/Trailblazer....my wife has a regular white envoy, and we love it...only thing is my 05 sierra crew 5.3 gets better mpg around town.

I believe wester's has a tune for the envoy and trailblazer. Get an envoy/trailblazer with the 5.3 it might be the ss model but I'm not sure. I'm just trying to recollect something that I thought I heard.

The SS is just coming out and it has the 6.0 Liter LS2 400hp/400ft-lbs motor in it, think it is detuned a bit from those numbers though. The 5.3 is in the regular Trailblazer. The little, heavy SUV's like that will always handle like crap though. Too little width to height and wieght on them.

Perhaps I was wrong, but I thought these were the same vehicles just one was GMC and the other Chevy. We drove the Trailblazer and didn't like it at all. Then I started doing some looking for roll over tests (I have a Jeep and was curious how it compared). Hehe, believe it or not my Jeep actually scored alot better. Trailblazer seems like a deathtrap!

In the end, the ball & chain ended up chosing an 05 Nissan Xterra. Talk about balls to the wall. 265hp from a V6 that screams. I had a 2002 Ext. Cab 5.3 Silverado LS before the Jeep and I honestly think the Xterra would give it a good run for the money. I actually enjoy driving the Xterra.
