04 adding cruise

How does the piece around the steering wheel come apart to change out the turn signal lever.

 

I have the one with cruise to put in and i was told it is plug and play.

 

I looked up under the column and see holes but cant tell if there are screws there?

I believe you have to take the wheel off to change out the lever. At least I did on my 99 Suburban when I had to replace it.

I had a buddy that had to replace his stalk a few weeks ago. His truck already had cruise but it was pretty much plug & play. I think he did have to borrow or rent a wheel puller to get his steering wheel removed.
