Performance tuners?

Recommended Posts

They claim for example that "The Edge" will increase your horse power as well as your fuel economy. In order to increase HP you will need more fuel to combust, correct? So how would it work with only a computer change. I understand that with a K&N for example the more air you can get in the more efficient the engine runs at a lower RPM, is it the same principle for a computer mod? And is it the same effect for a diesel engine?

Thanks,

I'm not aware of the Edge Juice for gassers. Accordingly the follow is directed for diesel as published by edge. In reading the assertion ~ they explain that the extra hp/tq precludes the downshifting of stock ~ enabling it to stay w/in its powerband (lower rpm) thereby realizing better efficiency/mpg/economy. To wit: Can stay in OD longer. Still, gains will be minimal. I just installed mine and haven't really had a real chance to chk it out and @ 3.199 a gal & climbing daily, I'll chk it out only on essential trips while conducting essential business. Sure wish they'd get the refinerys online. Perhaps the Japanese can help us out there too?
