MAKE THEM STOP! !! Wipers

Recommended Posts

So friday, I get the Service 4wd light.,..which is now gone..

Today I turn the wipers on, and they wont go off. So I turned the car off for a few min, and it seemed to operate fine..

Then again it starts up, I They just stay on LOW, no matter what the setting is...off etc. I can get them to go to high, but not OFF

What the hell happened to my hoe!!? The 2001 I had, I never had a problem, I have not even put 3k miles on this one!!!

Same thing happened to mine. The control module shorted out.

Hope you're under warranty.

Yeah I am under warr..

Thing is, its an interment (no pun intended) problem so I hope the dealer does not give me a "can not duplicate" BS line.. Its at chevy now and Im having a list of stuff done to it, so we shall see....

I guess they are going to REPLACE my stearing shaft, so lets hope the clunk goes buh bye!!

And of corse the 4x4 switch works again too!

Mine started by doing two swipes (while in intermittent), then one, then three and so on... I was like huh ??? Finally, they just wouldn't stop w/out pulling the fuse.

I would guess by now it should be a *known* issue, but funny how even if it is a known problem, if it's not doing it right-then, they can't help ya

My Escalade started doing this a while back. I'm finally taking it in to the dealer in a couple of days. If they can't fix it, I might like to try the soldering fix. Is there anywhere that tells me where the circuit board is and which joints I need to solder?

Check the tech article section, there are pics and everything. Extremely helpful.

Thanks for the tip. However, I went to the Tech section on this website (the Tech Corner link) and looked through the articles there. I didn't see anything about soldering circuit boards or wiper problems. What am I missing?
