Not sure about fusing, but I have heard that those heating elements are known to go bad. My bro had to take his Yukon in to have one replace (still under warranty).

My 03 the passenger side quit awhile back and had it replaced.

Same here,GM has had a lot of problems with the passenger side heated mirrors not heating.

Dan, DO NOT go to the dealer! They will try and sell you the whole assembly. Look in the yellow pages and call a local glass company. They can sell/install just the mirror with the heating element attached. Done in 10 minutes.

The heater on the passenger side mirror of my 2003 Yukon is not working. I found this post which references a fuse and heating element. Has anyone performed troubleshooting on this problem and was able to fix it?

Any help will certainly be appreciated.

We had tons of freezing rain here yesterday and I noticed my passenger mirror does not get heat. Is this an expensive fix??

I called a local glass company and they told me there is a heating element behind the mirror that needs replaced.

You can get replacement heated mirror glass (not the whole mirror) for about $60 through a dealer. I have replaced mine 3 times. Once because the defroster stopped working and twice because the glass got broken. Judging by the look of the replacement glass, it would not be a simple matter to replace just the heating element IMO.
