Confused Newbie NAV-Bose Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I've read as many of the topics on NAv install as I could but I am still confused.

I have a 2003 Envoy SLT with Bose 6-CD Changer and ONSTAR. I believe the HU is a "LUX" HU since the auto-eq gives me the "Spacious" ,"Driver", etc settings. I don't see the Y91 option listed in the glove box, but I do see the "UQA" part option (NOT UQ7).

My steering wheel controls operate only the AM/FM band presets, Volume, and CD Change as well as the ONStar controls. As I am in CANDA I don't have XM.

My questions are:

1) DO I have the "LUX" amp?

2) What NAV TNR HU part # do I need to use?

3) Can I add the 6 Disc CD Changer to this NAV unit.

4) Will this NAV unit be plug and play?

5) Will my steering wheel controls work?

6) Wherer can I find the amp o have a look at it?

Thanks in advance for all the great info.

My questions are:

1) DO I have the "LUX" amp?

Can't answer this...sorry

2) What NAV TNR HU part # do I need to use?

Depends on if you have LUX or Non-LUX, keep digging through the threads

3) Can I add the 6 Disc CD Changer to this NAV unit.

Yup-run it in as an AUX input

4) Will this NAV unit be plug and play?

Yup, get the correct Navi for your amp application and it will be plug and play with OnStar and steering wheel controls.

5) Will my steering wheel controls work?

Yup

6) Wherer can I find the amp o have a look at it?

No idea in an Envoy
